SING – Taken from one of the early Carpenters albums “Now & Then” it is the first introduction to Carole’s voice who recreates the tones of Karen Carpenter with incredible ease. 3. WE’VE ONLY JUST BEGUN – This great song was the 3rd single released by the Carpenters and one that became their signature tune in their early career 4. CARPENTERS COUNTRY MEDLEY – A terrific medley of their many Country hits including “Top of The World”, “Sweet, Sweet Smile” and “Jambalaya” to name but three. 5. CLOSE TO YOU – A popular song and their first hit, making number 1 in the charts in 1970 6. IT’S GONNA TAKE SOME TIME – A composition from the talented writer “Carol King” 7. BEATLES MEDLEY – 3 superb tracks from “The Fab Four” featuring “Ticket To Ride”, “Help” and “Please Mr Postman” 8. YESTERDAY ONCE MORE – The Carpenters biggest worldwide hit and one that is Carole’s favourite. 9. RAINY DAYS & MONDAYS – One of the saddest songs on the album….lovely words, great tune. 10. BACHARACH & DAVID MEDLEY –5 of the best compositions from this terrific song writing duo including “Always Something There To Remind Me” ,”Do You Know The Way To San Jose” and “I’ll Never Fall In Love Again” 11. I NEED TO BE IN LOVE – Karen Carpenter’s favourite song, and when you’ve recorded as many songs as they have, it must be something special……I agree it’s a tremendous ballad. 12. VOICE OF THE HEART SONGS – A couple of the most special songs recorded on their last album in 1982. “Now” Richard Carpenters favourite and “Make Believe It’s Your First Time”. Handkerchiefs at the ready, they are beautiful numbers. 13. FUN, FUN, FUN – A great medley that is a real change from the sad songs that we all associate with The Carpenters, 9 tracks taken from their various albums which feature the singing talents of not only Carole, but Bob Newman, Sarah Day, Rachel Cantrell and Wayne Golden. GOODBYE TO LOVE – What a way to finish this great selection, a real classic song that features terrific vocals from both Carole and The Blue Jeans singers plus the 6 piece band are at their very best too.
